A Castlederg-based dairy farm has been recognized with a top award at Ireland’s leading food, drink, and hospitality exhibition.
Grove Dairy, a family-run business led by husband and wife John and Samantha Mitchell, won Local/Direct Foodservice Supplier of the Year at the Irish Foodservice Supplier Awards (IFSA Awards) in Dublin.
Attending CATEX—Ireland’s premier industry showcase—for the first time, the company made a strong impression, leaving with a major industry honor.
Following their win, John and Samantha took to Facebook to share their excitement: “What an experience – we’re still buzzing! We’re beyond thrilled to have been part of such an incredible event, and winning an award made it even more special.”
They also extended their appreciation to their customers and team, writing, “Meeting so many wonderful people, sharing our story, and showcasing our passion for producing amazing milk was truly unforgettable.”
With a farming heritage spanning generations, Grove Dairy was established in 1978 by John’s parents, Jack and Hazel Mitchell, who began processing and bottling milk on their farm.
For over 60 years, CATEX has served as a key event in Ireland’s foodservice and hospitality sector, offering businesses a platform to network, expand, and present their products to industry leaders.
